GT3 RS ran official Nordschleife laps today. A few laps reported (rumored) with the fastest of the rumors being 6:49.3
If true, the numbers are not that impressive. Based on some of the reviews, to get the maximum performance out of the car you need a PhD in Physics. The car is complicated to drive. I thought the whole point to high performance sport cars is to make them easy to drive fast.
The issue is that it has too much drag for its power to crush a track like the Ring (that's why top speed is 15mph slower than GT3, despite 15hp extra power and DRS mode). It will shine more at medium speed tracks like we have in the US. It's not complicated to drive (although there is great degree of customization available and there are many things going on in background like active aero).
992 GT2 RS will be needed to unseat turbocharged cars like AMG GT Black series and 991 GT2 RS MR.
And let's not forget that it's 10 seconds faster than 992 GT3 (and 11 seconds faster than 991.2 GT3 RS and 20 seconds faster than GT4 RS), which is already a very fast car at the Ring. All 4 cars have fairly similar power and engines.
